Choo for Bauer is a win.
Stubbs is a throwin at this point.

Tony Lastoria @tonyipi No confirmation yet, but hearing the Indians may have landed Bauer.
Tony was first on my timeline. Impressive.

Choo for Bauer is a win. Stubbs is a throwin at this point. This is true. Bauer, if he can be settled down a bit, is an excellent pick up.

Choo's a Boras guy with one year of control.
He was a goner. This is about as well as you could hope for this scenario to play out.

And they keep Cabrera. They can ship him out at the deadline or in the 2013 offseason. By then Lindor should be a viable replacement.
Lets be honest, it would be extra ugly this year without him at short. They've got NOBODY ready to play SS in 2013.

@mlbdepthcharts Kevin Towers has traded Chris Young, Trevor Bauer, Matt Albers, Bryan Shaw for 2 SS's that can't hit, Tony Sipp, and Lars Anderson. #Dbacks
Reds and Tribe seem to have made out pretty well. Nobody seems too keen on the DBacks end. Myself included.

Gives him another year in the minor leagues to get used to Center Field. I don't believe the Reds would make a serious effort to resign him as he will be looking for a big contract after this year. Although, a contract year for him in a band-box stadium like GABP could also mean he plays like a beast. Could be an optimal scenario for both clubs.

Then there's Kevin Towers

@tonyipi #Indians are not done. This trade is tip of the iceberg. They are going hard after a SP and OF in free agency.

LF Brantley CF Stubbs RF Swisher 3B Chisenhall SS Cabrera 2B Kipnis 1B Reynolds C Santana DH Nobody
That actually has potential to be not that bad
SP Masterson Jimenez Bauer McAllister Carrasco/Gomez/Kazmir/Kluber/Huff
That's not so encouraging. Some rumblings about the possibility of signing a vet FA to slide into that 3 slot and move the kids down a spot. That would definitely help.
BP Perez Pestano Smith Hagadone Albers Shaw/Herrmann Possibly some minor league dude (they have some decent bullpen options at the upper levels)
Pen is fine. Offseason has been interesting at least.

<--Intrigued!
I just wonder how much motivation attaches to a big contract in a city that (from what little I heard, it sounds like) The Swisherz settled for.
But intriguing nonetheless!

I was too lazy to log in on my phone, then I realized it was even more work to post as a guest but by that time I was in too deep and there was no going back, because that would've been even more work.

That is a hell of a good defensive outfield. Stubbs isn't worth a shit at the plate, but the guy can fly in the outfield. Bourn, if he stays healthy, can fly and Brantley has good wheels also. I don't know that a fly ball will ever land in a gap with that outfield.

It happens around the same time Ohio gets it's annual April snow storm and then six fans show up and ESPN shows pictures of empty seats for hours while Keith Law threatens to eat the children of Northeast Ohio.
