Sessions unrestricted after season. Basically got a low first rounder for him rather than nothing.
Buyout Walton and send him away. Like he's boarding a plane and coming to Cleveland anyway...

Adrian Wojnarowski @wojyahoonba Close As part of the Ramon Sessions package, the Lakers sent Jason Kapono to Cleveland, league source tells Y! Sports.

The salary cap floor is $49MM next year, with Walton they are at $32.
This move means nothing but adding a young player.
WELL THAT AND KAPONO IS COMING HOME DAMNIT!!!!

I, never paying attention to any NBA team outside of Cleveland, have no idea who Kapono is.
Also, I know the Walton deal is just a contract buyout. The guy was contemplating retirement before the season, like getting traded to Cleveland is going to give him the boost to continue?
Not that I would want him anyway.

The Cavs draft Kapono in the early 2000s and lost him in the expansion draft a year later.
He made a lot of three a lot of places, even crushing records in the three point contest.
He cannot move, but he used to be able to shoot. Now he does nothing.

Adrian Wojnarowski @wojyahoonba Kaleb Canales, who replaces McMillan, was a video guy in Portland from 2005-2009 before being promoted to assistant coach. He's 34 now.
Awesome. I love Portland.

Early season I was sky high bullish on Portland. Geez...

Felton and Crawford sank that team.
And somehow instead of trading them and Paul decided to blow it up and tank harder than anyone ever has.

Yeah I saw that Nate was playing Crawford alot at PG. He became that sour of fatty Felton?
On the Cavaliers can't find much I don't like with this deal. Keep adding assets, no real albatross. Low risk, low reward, but its another pick. I think they had trouble finding any real value for Jamo. It doesn't seem they are adverse to making moves and amnesty takes some of the value out of a big expiring deal.

If only Daryl Morey had been able to trade for an emotionally sensitive 31 year old 2nd banana...

Felton got pissy early in the season about rotations and went after Nate, Crawford started shortly thereafter and they literally led a locker-room mutiny.

And as a Cavs fan, I applaud Portlands efforts. Way to own the tanking.

Ok...a day later...what the hell was Denver thinking? The best theory I read yesterday is the George Karl has a quotia for knucklehead morons he needs on his team and without Jay Are and Melo he needed to meet it with a top three knucklehead in the league.
