No, I have not read all of their stuff, it is a large hole in my reading that will be corrected. I took writing sems three times for enjoyment, but my majors were Poli Sci and Econ, with a finance minor, so please reading wasn't really in the fold. I can tell you all about Karl Marx, Nietzsche, Kant and Polanyi though! Not to mention a bunch of stupid ass modern global security BS that stupid OJ is reading now!

Just needling! I'd guess your reading has been more extensive & balanced overall than mine.
Sincere, less prickish note: but really, Tolstoy >>>> Dostoevsky. If you haven't at least read AK & W&P, I'd strongly recommend them both over BK. (Although, if you're planning on eventually reading all of it, it might not be such a bad idea to read Dostoevsky first; then you won't have the letdown experience I did of feeling Tolstoy's shadow cast over all of Dostoevsky...or likely pretty much anyone else you read immediately after.) And Gogol at his best is also really awesome stuff.

Look, a large chunk of that list was made by the other member of the book club. I mentioned Tolstoy, I got Dostoevsky (NOT THE LIST KEEPER!). Not to mention the list was conceived of by two drunk people at midnight on a Friday.... *shrug*
And the plan is to eventually read all of it, even if the book club goes up in flames.

The last two albums I bought: 1) Allen Stone - Allen Stone 2) The Mighty Stef - TMS and the BaptistsBlood & Whiskey and Social Science sound like they belong in a Tarantino movie. Which is a good thing! What do these people have against CDs, BTW?

Would love to get into some of Richard Gabriel's stuff, but...

Eye opening.

Fact, that song is better than every band mmmBop mentioned. This may be true also... I felt, just by looking at the names of the bands, that I needed to be wearing skinny jeans and those stupid checkered canvas slippers that people pass off as shoes to listen to them.

I'm genuinely surprised that most of the musical tastes in here gravitates toward the "Starbucks Featured Artist" end of the spectrum.

February 2012Kesters PMs e0 & JR: "WOW. I just read 528 pages of pure hotness. It's called 50 Shades of Grey. You guys should check it out. I'm probably not going to be around for a while (too busy reading the next two in the trilogy!), and neither will you once you get to reading and obsessively stroking yourselves! Out!" ... Best 112 days ever. Such a page turner.
