^Correct.
I can't take another year of horrible QB play from a known quantity. GIVE ME AN UNKNOWN!

BTW: after AOL went bankrupt and had to cut Fanhouse (one of the best sports site's on the web) they came back and bought The Sporting News? That link from mmm might be the has-beeniest of the has-been things I've ever seen.

1. That's what I've been thinking too. Maybe Jason Smith is really just so hopelessly bad that they're already prepared to move on? More likely reason: "This guy is a highly rated prospect, WHERE ELSE DO I PUTS HIM IN MY MOCK DRAFT!?!?!!?"
2. This new attitude of highly drafted disposable QBs is really insane to me. <--Official sign people have gone too far with "QBs ARE EVERYTHING!!1!1!!!!"
3. I don't think Richardson looks as good as I thought he'd be earlier in his college days at Alabama. He still looks like a good power back, but it seems he's jacked himself up so much in the weight room that he's lost a lot of the agility he showed early on. That stupid highlight they keep showing of him from this season is about the slowest, most pathetic juke move I've ever seen. That defender's dad & Mr. Wright should form a support group for shamed fathers.
4. Meh.

I don't know if it is "highly drafted disposable QBs" as much as it is "Blaine Gabbert really sucks and the rookie cap hit makes benching him acceptable."
That said, yeah, I don't see how he doesn't at least get another year.

Combined with new regime, and Gabbert was only a mid first rounder.
If they had taken Gabbert 3rd overall, you can bet they wouldn't be thinking about drafting another QB.
That said, after the Browns draft RGIII (THAT'S RIGHT, BITCH) they should take a flier on another QB at some point in the 4th round or later. GET OUR GUS FRERROTE.

Somewhere Colt McCoy's dad is bunching up his panties, just waiting to say horrible things about the Browns when Colt gets traded to Dallas for a conditional 4th round pick to back up Romo, who will have one more year to show how disinterested he is in football.

That said, yeah, I don't see how he doesn't at least get another year. It isn't just Blaine Gabbert. (Who was drafted 10th overall, aoxo) Some people seem to think STL would deal Bradford and take Luck. ESPN had a stupid rumor the other day about Minnesota possibly being interested in taking another QB in the Top 3 after using the 12th overall pick on Ponder last year. Even Carolina already bailing on Jimmy Clausen last year seemed a touch sketchy--though more excusable due to the regime change.

Isn't STL going to have a regime change?
Either way, meh, I don't pay attention to ESPN.

Isn't STL going to have a regime change? Either way, meh, I don't pay attention to ESPN. Yeah, I can see why it's perfectly excusable for a new regime to bail on a #1 overall QB drafted two years ago, as long as they're not cutting any fullbacks or anything.

Yeah, but don't the Bradford rumors all hinge on them recouping at least a first rounder?

I could give two shits where Adams is drafted, but how exactly does he move 30 spots without creating any new film?

Hmm - the talent at the top of this draft doesn't seem to be matching up with the Browns' needs too well. If RG3 and Blackmon are both gone, what would be left that you wouldn't hate? CB? Claiborne or Kirkpatrick? I would hate Richardson that early. There doesn't seem to be any d-line worth that pick. Sadly, one of the OT's could be BPA. Accoring to Hiko's calculations, if JAX and MIN win, Browns get #3.

^Yup.
What I'm most looking forward to tonight is to see after the game whether the 75% of Browns fans who'll be watching RG3 for the first time will be desperate to see us do anything it takes to get him (if he plays well) or not want anything to do with him (if he doesn't).
Can't wait!
