Chad Ford's first mock draft would be unfortunate for the Cavaliers.
Davis, MKG, Robinson, Beal, and Barnes (<--IMO, the players who belong in the Cavaliers Top 5, just not in that order) all gone in the top 5 picks, with the Cavaliers picking 8th.

Nonsense. Bismack is really good. And eat me Bobharris! Laziness precluded me from posting, but convenience allowed me to tweet Peeks in an attempt to preempt PROS. Alas no one can beat that window-licking troll to his, well, window...

Cavaliers are going to fuck it up and draft even lower...
bow what do you make of the few 7' centers available in the 8-late loto region? I admit to watching little NCAA basketball and at our pick it might be between them and a guy like T.Jones.

I like both of the Zellers. I'm not sure either of them has much in the way of all-star potential, but they could both be solid big men, I'd think.
I suppose Drummond has some all-star potential, but for me that'd be outweighed by his slacker-suck potential.

Alas no one can beat that window-licking troll to his, well, window... I contemplated suicide on my way home tonight. He can't be real. Now I know why Gary Reents told me a decade ago to avoid Pros like the plague. Gary was almost mentally crippled by a six month argument via PM about Kevin Johnson. I didn't listen. Now I don't know if I can go on.

No one...under any circumstance...should ever have a six month conversation about Kevin Johnson. Not even his parents.

Now David Thorpe is returning to trolling me by SOMEHOW drafting TT #2 overall in his annual re-draft at ESPN.
That fucker trolls me every single year just so he can shill for people that worked out at HIS camps.
I hate David Thorpe.

Kyrie is really effing good, btw.
Like really good.
A top ten rookie PG season since 2000, for sure.

Yeah, but he missed the last shot!
Interesting to see this team competing with, what, 4 D-League players getting significant minutes. Fun to watch, actually, especially with Irving ripping shit up late in the games.

Byron Scott just that good of a coach, or is it complete luck?
Is the front office going, "We have given this guy a shit-sandwich and he is making it work, what the hell else can we do? God dammit they took the Hawks to overtime! Quick, cut someone else!"

Yeah, same reason I went with ten. But rookie overall, that will take a LOT of thinking.

God dammit they took the Hawks to overtime! Quick, cut someone else!" Scott is pretty good. Kyrie is a monster. Jamison and Andy brought them a lot of wins. Gee is a quality bench player in the league. The rest, well, they just somehow stand up sometimes. Dudes like Manny Harris. Plus they tend to lose to shitty teams and beat good ones, running in line with the "good teams ignore meh to bad teams because of this terrible schedule" theory. Either way, Kyrie is the biggest reason, followed by Andy, Scott and Jamison. Sessions also had a role.

Yeah, same reason I went with ten. But rookie overall, that will take a LOT of thinking. I have LeBron, Carmelo, and Griffin as the guys with obviously better rookie seasons over the past decade. You could argue about how to rank Paul, Rose, Durant, and Irving. Just looking at the ROY list none of the other guys are in the discussion. And I know I just said I don't want to think about it, and then made a semi-list. But I just remember Melo had a great rookie campaign and then looked at year by year ROY.

I don't know. How do you value Irving's ridiculous shooting/3pt percentages? Was Carmelo actually better during his rookie year? Was LeBron?
It's so hard to think back on rookie years for guys when we have watched them play in their prime for several years. But just looking at numbers it's not clear.

Also slanted though is Kyrie's Usage Rate, which is, uhm, absurd by vet standards.
It's really, really hard to figure out, for a variety of reasons, not the slightest of which is how much easier it is to succeed as a rookie PG then any other position.
It's ridiculous, that much is certain.
Curry's rookie year was sick.
Reke's was but was hugely flawed.
Etc...

If I just did that right, career win-share for NBA centers:
3. Shaq: 181.7 4. David Robinson: 178.7!!!!!!!!

So how deep is this draft? Do I need to root for us to crack the top 4?
Any chance that Lakers pick is worth something?
