And isn't Lovie Smith basically a less-latino Wayne Fontes? And if Wayne Fontes was actually latino, why wasn't he Wayne Fon-TAISSS? Lovie Smith is offended on two levels by this post

Adam Schefter @adamschefter After Lovie Smith, Romeo Crennel and six other were fired, there eight HC jobs filled. Not one hire was a minority. Expand
Schefter reads C-Town

Schefter = Guest #53
I tried and failed recently to find a listing of new NFL HC hires by year. Anyone else better at the Googles able to find one?
Because this just has to be one of the worst years ever. Even with Chip back in the mix.
Also, in 9 years of head choaching (first year, only 5 games choached), Wah-ee-nay Fon-TAISSSSS managed 4 winning records. In Lovie's 9 years, he managed 5. I was so close!

2009 was pretty bad too.
And 2011 was the lockout year.
Bornws know when to replace choaches.

Out of 63 coaching hires, 18 have had a winning record in their first year. About 28%. 1 in 4/
Which 2 choaches in 2013 will it be??? I bet it's Marc Trestman and Mike McCoy.
Bill Parcells going 10-6 with Quincy Carter was probably most impressive.
On the other hand, only 16 have gone 4-12 or worse.
This looks like QB is almost everything to me.

The real fucked up part is that out of that entire list I'd guess < 7 are no longer NFL coaches. IIRC, there have been 68 NFL head coaches fired in the last 10 years, as per ESPN recentlyish + Mularkey. So an entire NFL's worth of head choaches turns over every 5 years. <--result of RESULTS-based Sooper Business Guy thinking, I'm convinced.

So I'm pretty psyched that Russ Wilson is bringing some attention to the fact that rookie contracts in the NFL are a travesty.
I supported the wage scale, but its absolutely outrageous how long/inflexible the contracts are once the guys have gotten into the league.

The only ones who get guaranteed contracts in the NFL are the predominantly white choaches
